Submit an entry

The Commons grows through people who have actually done the thing they are documenting. If that is you, we want to hear from you.

How submission works right now

  1. Open a proposal using the GitHub issue template below. It asks what you did, where, when, and why it belongs in the Commons.
  2. We read every proposal. If it fits, we will reach out and work with you to shape it into a full entry.
  3. When the entry is ready, it is committed to the repository under CC-BY-4.0 and published at /browse/[entry-id].

You do not need a GitHub account to contribute. If the form is a barrier, email hello@wayfindercommons.org and we will take it from there.

Before you submit

Skim the first entry to see what a Field Manual looks like. It is structured, specific, and includes numbers. Vague advice does not belong here.

Read the specification if you want the full structure. It is written in normative language and covers the review process.
